Main thing the Savage is lacking is AoE w/ good reach, otherwise just trying to optimize it a bit more (here, for heavy Massacre use, though ya could alter the build to center on Shred spam if ya'd like).
I figured that would have been a good place to start. I had the idea, just wanted an opinion. What do you think about, say, Dex Con/Rec and going with crit form with Dragon Kick for melee AoE and Shiruken Storm? Same beastial main attacks but different stacks. Would take Parry with the adv.
I know I'd be missing out on the defense from Jugg, but the added benefits both damage and defense wise might be worth it. Esp since knock resist mods are a thing now.
Well, if ur going a Dex-heavy route then you'd primarily want to change the toggle to an MA form- in this case prob FotTempest. Its actually a bit easier to do that, attack-wise, since Enrage and AotB take specific procs (knocks or bleeds).
If ya can gear for sufficient knock resist, then Dex PSS is alright (I'd still not bother w/ its dodge/avoid options, though, as then ur missing out on 2 of Dex's main dps boosts, and then mine as well take Con PSS). STR/Con/Dex or CON/Dex/Rec_End are what I'd recommend otherwise, though.
Looking at the knock resist mods on the PTS, it seems that they take defensive mod slots, so you'd be dropping ur defense (or maxHP, or dodge/avoid) for them. A fair trade-off, I suppose, though it kinda sucks to lower defense for it. R4 is 40%, or equiv to about 40 Str worth of knock resist (or ~100 Con, if using Resilient). Trading a R4 Impact for a R4 knock resist lowered my total dmgRes (not final dmg mitigation) by about 7-8% w/ a Wardicator spec and mediocre gear at lvl 40. Its an interesting trade-off, though not one I could universally endorse as knocks are quite content-dependent.
