Perfect World Entertainment Community Rules and Policies
Your use of the forums (Forums) provided by Perfect World Entertainment(PWE) constitutes your agreement to these Rules and Policies (Rules and Policies), which apply to all posts, profile information, avatars, signatures, and any other content on this site as well as your use of the Forums.
Limitation Of Liability
Please understand that: (a) members of the community contribute to the content of these Forums; (b) PWE does not control the content that is posted on the Forums and is not responsible for such content; and (c) PWE does not in any way guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, legality or completeness of any such content.
You expressly agree that you bear all risks associated with such content and that PWE is not liable in any way for such content, for any errors or omissions, or for any losses or damages incurred as a result of accessing or using such content.
If you believe that someone has violated our Rules and Policies or you have spotted content that may otherwise require attention, please use Flag button and select Report with a brief description of what you believe is wrong. Notification is voluntary and anonymous, but in no situation should a user respond to an issue personally, thereby aggravating the situation further.
The Flag button and Report Post feature can be found in the lower left portion of every post on the forums.
Report violations, do not quote them or reply to them. Responding to a violation in an inflammatory manner is a violation in itself and will result in appropriate action. It is also important to not abuse the Report Post function by excessively reporting posts, sending false alarms, or nonsensical messages. Abuse of the report post button can result in an infraction for spamming.
Perfect World Entertainment makes use of community moderators to enforce the Perfect World Entertainment Community Rules and Policies. Moderators may not issue infraction points, suspensions, or bans, but may remove the content of posts which are found to be in violation of these rules and policies. Community Moderators are selected by members of the PWE Community Team. The community may be asked to participate in selection of volunteer moderators, but the PWE Community Manager makes the final selection. When new moderators are needed, a PWE Community Manager will inform the community of how many moderators are needed and the application process. Community Moderators are unpaid volunteers, and their views and opinions may not reflect the views and opinions of PWE. In addition, as Community Moderators are not employees of PWE, their service to their community may be discontinued at any time they choose, or may be discontinued by a member of the PWE Community Team at any time and for any reason.
Any content that violates our Rules and Policies will be removed by a Community Moderator within a reasonable period of time after PWE becomes aware of it. Interpretation and enforcement of the Rules and Policies is at the sole and exclusive discretion of PWE.
If you violate these Rules and Policies and/or show a disregard for them, PWE and/or our community, your posting privileges may be suspended or terminated. PWE may, but is not obligated to, edit or remove any content without notice or appeal. These Rules and Policies are subject to change at any time without notice.
PWE Infraction Policy
The Vanilla infraction system identifies, and keeps track of violations of our Community Rules and Policies. The primary purpose of this infraction system is to maximize the enjoyment of the users of our forums. To this end, we use the following point and penalty system:
1 point results in a 3 day suspension.
2 points result in a 7 day suspension.
3 points result in a 14 day suspension.
4 or more points result in a permanent ban.
PWE shall, in its sole discretion, identify infractions and assign the points value for each infraction. PWE reserves the right in its sole discretion to change the point value assigned to any infraction at any time. The following list sets forth some of the more common types of infractions. This list is not intended to be a complete list of all infractions.
Infraction points may only be given by a member of the PWE Community Team, and may not be given by a Community Moderator. Community Moderators may suggest, however, that a member of the community receive an infraction point. Infraction Points may be given for violating any of the Perfect World Entertainment Community Rules or Policies.
Disputing an Infraction
If you wish to dispute an infraction, you may file a community support ticket on our support page located at: http://support.arcgames.com
. A member of our Community Team, other than the individual who gave the infraction, will review your dispute and make a final call on the matter. Once a dispute has been reviewed and actioned, the issue will be considered closed and not subject to additional review.
PWE has the final say on all aspects of this community. If you have a problem, you may make a complaint to PWE directly through our support site, and not publicly on the website. Creating threads or posts that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions, such as post removals and thread closures, is not permitted.
Community Moderators may issue zero point warnings when removing content which violates the Perfect World Entertainment Community Rules and Policies. Warnings serve as friendly reminder of the Perfect World Entertainment Community Rules and Policies and have no bearing on your account. As such, warnings may not be disputed, and will never be overturned.
Posts and/or private messages that, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, involve any of the following activities may be subject to an infraction. You can find descriptions of specific infractions below. Should you have questions regarding any of these infractions, please file a Community Ticket on our support site, as outlined above.
